TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – The Group Meals Community is organizing “Desires CAN Make a Distinction: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Nationwide Day of Service” in partnership with Residing the Dream, Inc. Group volunteers will likely be sorting and repackaging meals for youngsters, households, and seniors in want of meals help this week.
John Nave, Member of the Govt Board of Residing the Dream, “Residing The Dream is a company that celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. We’ve got been doing this for 36 years. We wish to have an effect on our youth, our elders and the whole group. We wish to acknowledge those that dwell the ideology and life legacy of Dr. King. “
The objectives of Residing the Dream, Inc. are to boost Dr. King’s philosophy of nonviolence all year long, to acknowledge and train human understanding, and to advertise educational excellence. With these objectives, Residing the Dream, Inc., gives scholarships to college students who meet the varsity necessities established by the Residing the Dream Board.
Yearly, in honor of Dr. King, Residing the Dream, Inc. acknowledges people, organizations, and firms for his or her excellent contributions to the Topeka group and Shawnee County. Emphasis is positioned on acknowledging those that usually go unnoticed.
