In an effort to assist households scuffling with meals insecurity, Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford helps acquire non-perishable meals.
The whole lot is in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Members of the congregation’s social motion committee created the marketing campaign in hopes of serving to those that are struggling.
The volunteers packed baggage of toiletries for the group. They are saying this weekend is about service and understanding the significance of giving again.
“It is a means that children can get entangled,” mentioned Membership Coordinator Michelle Myer. “That is one thing they will do, unpacking the material baggage makes them really feel like they’re making a distinction for another person.”
The congregation mentioned they settle for meals donations Monday by Friday.
