MIAMI (AP) – Author Carl Hiaasen is retiring from the Miami Herald after writing newspaper columns for the previous 35 years, the newspaper says.
The Herald ran a narrative this week saying Hiaasen would finish after his final column on March 14. Hiaasen, 67, mentioned he now not needs the strain of a weekly deadline.
