WALNUT GROVE – The shores of Lake Laura in Walnut Grove have been stuffed with keen younger fishermen final Saturday for the annual Walnut Grove Loggers Fishing Derby for youths 12 and underneath.
This 12 months’s derby held in scenic Plum Creek Park marked the 29th 12 months the occasion has been held, because of the work of Walnut Grove Loggers. The Walnut Grove Loggers is a non-profit group that has a gaming license that’s used to lift cash for the group. Funds are generated by pull tabs, bingo, and raffles.
Shanaya Albertson of Walnut Grove Loggers stated this 12 months’s occasion was an enormous success with 29 kids entered within the derby.
