EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Police say an Evansville girl has been arrested for arson after she allegedly set her boyfriend’s garments on hearth.
In keeping with the affidavit, the officers have been dispatched to the 2500 block of Sundown Blvd. and I spoke with Matthew Hull and Niki Rhodes.
Inside the marginally smoky condominium, Hull stated he had been outdoors along with his canine and noticed nothing. She additionally stated that when she went again inside. Rhode’s boyfriend, Brandon Whitledge, was leaving and had informed her that Rhodes was offended and setting hearth to his personal garments.
Police say Rhodes initially claimed to not have set something on hearth. Once they confirmed him burnt garments from the dump, he modified his story.
In keeping with a police report, he stated he unintentionally set his garments on hearth with a lighter whereas taking them out of the closet. Nevertheless, the lighter was tried and it didn’t mild.
In keeping with officers, she was later arrested and made statements about how she was offended together with her boyfriend and the way sorry she was for setting his garments on hearth.
Rhodes was charged with one rely of fourth-degree arson.
