In an effort to encourage native acts of justice locally, the general public is invited to attend a free and informative summer season speaker collection referred to as Justice and Engagement at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1500 State St., Santa Barbara.
The church will host 4 informational/interactive classes in June and July. The dates are Sunday June 19, June 26, July three and July 10.
The Justice and Engagement collection—conversations with neighborhood advocates, involved residents, and native service suppliers—is open to everybody within the Santa Barbara space. Interfaith and non-denominational voices are welcome.
The theme for June 26 is Take part within the safety of the atmosphere. The speaker at eight am and 10 am would be the Rev. Scott Claassen, vicar and chaplain of St. Michael’s College Church Isla Vista.
The discussion board will likely be hosted at 11:30 am by the Neighborhood Environmental Council, with speaker Kathi Brennan King, director of local weather schooling and management; and Jen Hernandez, local weather justice supervisor.
