John E. Frew Sr., 76, of Ashville, died Sunday at his residence. He was born in Huntingdon, the son of the late James and Josephine (Lightner) Frew. John was preceded in demise by his spouse, Bobbie Jo (Patterson) Frew; a son, John Jr. “Eddie”; and brother, James. Siblings survive: Frank (Penny), Mary “Sisters” Fisher and Dick (Dolly); together with quite a few grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was a Vietnam Conflict veteran. At John’s request, there will likely be no service. The funeral will likely be at Amsbry Union Cemetery. Preparations are made at Gibbons Funeral House, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville.
