The McNay Memorial Analysis and Demonstration Farm will maintain its annual subject day on August four, beginning at four pm, on the farm southwest of Chariton. The occasion is open to anybody keen on listening to updates on crop manufacturing and meat manufacturing subjects.
Subject day classes embrace “Corn Rootworm Administration Methods,” by Erin Hodgson and Ashley Dean, extension entomologists; “Annual Forage Challenge,” by Rebecca Vittetoe, ISU Extension and Outreach Subject Agronomist, and Chris Clark, ISU Extension and Outreach Meat Specialist; “Transmission of Passive Immunity in Cattle,” by Lynn Geoffroy, Iowa State DVM and postdoctoral analysis affiliate, and Megan Hindman, Iowa State DVM and medical assistant professor; and “60 Corn and Cowl Crops,” by Mike Witt, ISU Extension and Outreach subject agronomist.
“Growers and people concerned within the agricultural business may have the chance to achieve priceless studying experiences concerning the manufacturing practices being researched on the farm,” mentioned Clarabell Probasco, ISU Extension and Outreach subject agronomist. “The on-farm trials present good perception into potential options to present crop and meat manufacturing challenges dealing with producers.”
Registration begins at three:30 pm and this system will kick off at four pm, with a common replace on McNay Memorial Analysis Farm by Logan Wallace, co-director of the farm. The sector day is free and open to the general public. The Lucas County Cattlemen’s Affiliation will put together ribeye steak sandwiches and sides.
