Luigi Gambellin, 92, of Follansbee, WV, handed away peacefully on Thursday, August four, 2022, in San Luis Obispo, CA.
He was born August 26, 1929, in Saletto di Morsano Al Tagliamento, Italy, the son of the late Ernesto and Angela (Bot) Gambellin. Along with his dad and mom, he’s preceded in dying by his beloved spouse Isolina Judith (Cattaruzza) Gambellin; a brother, Giuseppe Gambellin; and a sister, Marisa Benvenuto.
Luigi served within the Italian Military as an Alpine soldier earlier than transferring to the USA on March 1, 1954. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and president of the Garibaldi Membership in Follansbee, WV. Luigi labored as a carpenter within the Carpenters Union Native #three.
She is survived by three kids, Angela Elisa (Phil) Kiesewetter of Cayucos, CA, Marisa Eckels of Pittsburgh, PA, Ernest (Tracey) Gambellin of Leesburg, FL; six grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Eckels, Shane (Crystal) Eckels, Jessie Gambellin, Sydney (fiancé Troy Webb) Gambellin, Alexa Gambellin and Jennifer (Duncan) Tenney; 6 great-grandchildren, Brayden, Carter, Lily, Sabrina Eckels, Kaci Byrne and Addy Tenney; a sister-in-law Rosa Gambellin; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy.
Visitation for Luigi shall be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from four:00 PM – eight:00 PM at Mullenbach Funeral House 669 Fundamental St Follansbee, WV.
A Mass of Catholic Burial shall be celebrated on Friday, August 12th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church 1017 Jefferson St. Follansbee, WV 26037 with Father Richard Jones as celebrant.
Burial will comply with in Oak Grove Cemetery.
