Small cottage “UHU” on stilts by Repère Boréal
Nestled 12 meters within the air, the UHU microcabin (that means “owl” within the Innu language) sits on the pillars and presents a beneficiant view of the Saint-Laurence River in Canada. Designed and constructed by Quebec-based Repère Boréal, the construction takes the type of a small angular home with a weathered facade that reveals the plush wooded environment. Entry to the inside is through an enclosed spiral staircase and a 6 meter bridge and presents all the required facilities akin to a big mattress, heated flooring, a completely outfitted kitchen and a bathe that opens to the sky.

hidden refuge within the treetops
In keeping with Boreal Landmarks crew, the UHU cabin is designed to permit occupants to sleep within the treetops to be soothed by the ambiance of the boreal forest. The 100% metal construction is cantilevered (40 ft) 12 meters above the bottom and is accessible through an enclosed spiral staircase and a 6 meter (20 ft) bridge. Contained in the cabin, there’s a complete wall of home windows that observe the angle of the roofline, drawing in pure mild. The glass facade presents a novel view of the Saint-Laurence River and the pure environment, inexperienced in spring and white as snow. in winter.
Combining design, consolation and leisure, the UHU tiny cabin serves as a “paradise of peace, hidden within the treetops”. Customers can take a break, recharge their batteries and deepen their reference to nature because of its peaceable character and distinctive location.
