Portuguese studio Lopes Pertile Architects designs this L-shaped Primus Home as a mirrored image of its shopper – rigorous, systematic and clear. Perched on a podium within the grass, the Home occupies a hilly panorama in the bridge of Lima and opens huge to sweeping views of its rural environment. The architects remark: ‘The home is built-in with the location and belongs to it because of the topographical design that permits the home to satisfy its environment, in continuity with the panorama and vice versa..’

a stark white line among the many rolling hills
The Primus Home by Lopes Pertile Architects is expressed with sturdy horizontality to mirror the low, steady hills within the distance. In the meantime, the structure contrasts the sinuous pure setting with its materiality of glass and stark white. It stands as a white line within the panorama. ‘The home and the panorama improve and intensify their completely different characters,’ he defined architects.
The cloistered rooms are organized in a linear matrix, a cinematic row of frames that opens to the horizon. The interiors movement harmoniously to the outside on an interstitial deck, a threshold between the home and the garden.
