Final summer time, Brendon Burton left his dwelling in Portland, Oregon, and wandered the good western reaches of Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and Utah. Within the fall, he captured hazy scenes across the Pacific Northwest after which headed east to New York and West Virginia, the place the timber burst with autumn hues of orange and pink. Focusing his lens on deserted buildings and remoted landscapes, the photographer (beforehand) emphasizes the fragility of reminiscence, the passing of time and the locations left behind.
Burton’s dreamlike photos are characterised by dilapidated farms, empty roads and huge fields, usually caught in a second of non permanent transformation, as when a flock of birds breaks the stillness of a rustic street or a stormy sky unleashes a dramatic rainbow.
