Considerate faces, ambiguous mild sources and mysterious areas characterize the atmospheric drawings of Moonassi, whose private exhibition whispers at Vazieux Gallery delves into the surreal world of reminiscence and emotion.
Utilizing black and white ink and acrylic, the Seoul-based artist transposes figurative scenes into Korean. gut paper, depicting deep contrasts, dualities and tensions. Wealthy, black shadows reveal glowing arms and faces, exploring the relationships between mild and darkish, consciousness and unconscious, presence and absence, and recognized and unknown.
