It might be a tricky night time of council losses for the Tories, with some predicting the occasion might lose over 500 seats in a single day.
And it appears native councilors are blaming the “nationwide pablo”.
Councilor Simon Bosher, Conservative group chief in Portsmouth, mentioned: “It's going to be a troublesome night.
“A number of it’s most likely not due to the work of councilors, it's extra about it being confused with the nationwide image – which isn’t good.
“It gained't be an election for personalities, perhaps will probably be extra of a protest vote.”
In the meantime, in North East Lincolnshire, Conservative councilor Ron Shepherd mentioned: “Nationwide politics is at all times an element. All of the seats might be closed tonight as a result of it's a low turnout.
“A few of the points affecting native politics are out of our management. Coupled with a low turnout, it doesn't look too good.
“The outcomes are one thing of a fruits of our successes over the previous seven years and that is the response.”
