GREENE — The Chenango River Theater will open its doorways on Friday, July 5 with the all-female, intriguing and utterly chaotic musical comedy “Ruthless!” by Joel Paley and Marvin Laird.
In response to a press launch, lovely and proficient Eight-year-old Tina Denmark would do something to play the lead position within the college play. Completely something. The query is… the place does such extraordinary expertise and unstoppable ambition come from? The reply might shock you once you watch the award-winning mom of all musicals!
“Ruthless!” stars CRT favorites Alondra Hughes (“Boeing Boeing,” “SHOUT!”, “The Laramie Mission”) as Miss Thorn and Lina Marie (“SHOUT!”) as Louise Lerman/Eve. Rounding out the solid, all making their CRT debut, are Bex Odorisio (Sylvia St. Croix), Kennedy Bastow (Judy Denmark), Mary Lauren (Lita Encore) and Vivian Waye (Tina Denmark).
Director Kory Yamada returns for his third CRT manufacturing. Yamada, a Minneapolis native, beforehand directed CRT productions of “SHOUT!” and “I Love You, You’re Good, Now Change.”
“Relentless!” might be choreographed by Kimberly Wilpon and the manufacturing will function costume, lighting, scenic and sound design by Stephen Dell'Aversano, Julie H. Duro, Justin Hooper and Zach Curtis, respectively. Isabel Mendoza is stage directing.
There might be a post-show dialogue with the manufacturing inventive director and firm members on Friday, July 12.

Performances might be at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

The Chenango River Theatre is situated at 991 State Freeway 12 in Greene.
CRT operates beneath an annual contract with Actors Fairness Affiliation, the nationwide affiliation of professional actors and stage managers in the US.
CRT's 2024 season was made doable partially by the New York State Council on the Arts with the help of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature.
