Teahupo'o, a village positioned on the southeast coast of Tahiti, boasts a shallow, precipitous coral reef system that creates a novel surf break leading to a number of the largest waves on Earth. These sturdy, highly effective waves appeal to surfers from all around the world, together with photographer Tim McKenna.
From a younger age, McKenna surfed the west coasts of France and later in Australia. He’s deeply fascinated by the facility of the ocean and its fixed adjustments of temper from serene ripples to towering waves. The photographer started documenting waves whereas driving their uneven actions and finally settled in Teahupo'o, the place he has lived for greater than 20 years.
