ROANOKE, Va. – A brand new grocery retailer referred to as “Market on Melrose” will assist handle meals insecurity in northwest Roanoke.
The market can be in Melrose Plaza, close to the library and Goodwill.
It's all due to a partnership between Goodwill Industries of the Valleys and town of Roanoke, which is offering $10 million in ARPA funding to make the grocery retailer a actuality.
Locals say northwest Roanoke has been a meals desert for many years, so getting access to contemporary produce and meat will make a giant distinction.
