The Minister of Communications and Digitization (MoCD), Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful (MP), has introduced the official launch of Ghana's 5G community, marking a pivotal second within the nation's digital growth.

Ms Owusu-Ekuful outlined Ghana's evolution from primary 1G voice communication within the 1990s to the ground-breaking potential of 5G. Each technological leap, from 2G's introduction of SMS to 4G's high-speed knowledge capabilities, laid the groundwork for the transformative energy of 5G.
In accordance with it, the preliminary rollout of 5G will start in main cities together with Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi, with nationwide protection deliberate by 2026.
