Bhoon+ House in Bangkok Features Central Planted Courtyard

Bhoon+ House, designed by anonym studio, occupies a 376-sqm plot in Bangkok, Thailand, redeveloped from the lawn of an existing family residence. The new design maintains a close relationship with the original home by retaining the former lawn as a shared courtyard, enhancing privacy for the younger family.

The building features an open central courtyard that optimizes natural light and offers views of the garden, while a long, linear volume minimizes direct solar exposure. The recessed roof integrates a central tree, creating a distinctive profile that connects the architecture to the landscape.

Spanning approximately 400 sqm, the interior includes communal spaces with large glazed openings, ensuring ample daylight and ventilation. The upper level hosts private rooms arranged around a central void, while a semi-outdoor terrace extends the living area into the courtyard, reinforcing the connection between the two residences.

Bhoon+ House is characterized by a white material palette, a gabled roof, and large glazed openings that enhance the relationship between the existing and new homes, as well as the surrounding landscape.
