EDITION Madrid is an architect-designed minimal luxurious advanced situated in Madrid, Spain John Pawson in collaboration with The Ian Schrager Firm. The second property in Spain, The Madrid EDITION affords a classy ambiance that captures the character and alluring soul of town, enhancing the enchantment of the Spanish capital.
Along with the 200 rooms, there are two eating places – every led by an award-winning high chef – three distinct bar ideas, an outside rooftop pool with panoramic views of the Madrid cityscape, a wellness and spa centre, in addition to quite a few different amenities. As Schrager describes, “It is about creating an authentic and new form of assembly place for locals and guests alike.”
The constructing is clean-lined and up to date, solely embellished with a powerful 18th-century Baroque entrance salvaged from an adjoining constructing and situated on the Plaza de la Descalzas, with views evocative of a royal cloister in 16th century. The foyer options customized sofas and armchairs by Jean-Michel Frank, recycled bronze chairs by Maison Intègre, rope-covered chairs by Christian Astuguevieille, and a pool desk that was created by designer Emmanuel Levet Stenne from a single piece by Bianco Snow white. matte marble.
