Stafford County Public Faculties, in partnership with Large Meals's Nourishing Our Youth Spherical Up program, continues its efforts to fight meals insecurity.
Stafford Excessive Faculty's authorities courses not too long ago undertook a service venture after receiving a $17,000 grant from Large. College students bought 9,350 pantry objects and packed 385 meal kits for households going through meals insecurity to make use of over spring break. The containers have been delivered to households from 27 faculties.
Stafford Excessive Faculty Principal Chelsea Tryon famous that TRIBE stands for Belief, Respect, Enhancing Integrity and Endeavor, and that “this venture was a transparent demonstration of our dedication to those rules and to our mixed efforts as a neighborhood to raise Stafford.”
Group companions Cornerstone Shifting & Storage and Hilldrup Shifting & Storage offered containers for the meal kits.
This 12 months was the second time the varsity division used the grant to offer meals throughout spring break. Final 12 months, college students ready 400 meal kits with a $26,413 grant from Large.
