Colourful wood coffins adorned with work and inscriptions that have been lately found by a workforce of Egyptian archaeologists opened on Saturday to disclose completely preserved mummies, experiences NBC Information.
The 30 sealed coffins have been discovered accidentally below a mound behind the Asasif Necropolis on the west financial institution of the Nile River, Mostafa Waziri, basic secretary of the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt, informed NBC Information.
"I’m very pleased to have discovered this discovery with Egyptian fingers," Waziri stated.
Archaeologists have been conducting an unrelated excavation when somebody seen what gave the impression to be the face of a coffin, Waziri defined. They continued digging to find a cache of coffins stacked in two layers only a few meters under the sand.
