WATERVILLE, Maine (AP) – A Maine college is working to ascertain an institute for synthetic intelligence that it stated can be the primary of its type at a liberal arts faculty.
The Davis Institute for Synthetic Intelligence “will present new avenues for proficient college students and college to analysis, create, and apply synthetic intelligence and machine studying throughout disciplines whereas setting a precedent for the way liberal arts faculties can form the way forward for synthetic intelligence, “representatives from Colby School stated in a press release Friday.
Colby stated the college obtained a $ 30 million donation by way of the Davis household and trustee of their Andrew Davis charitable basis, who graduated from the college in 1985.
College representatives stated the institute will open within the fall after a nationwide seek for its founding director.
