The intensive renovation by No Architects sought to protect the character of the home, which was constructed within the 1920s in a romantic fashion that references English Arts and Crafts villas.
“Our addition pertains to the unique particulars of the facade and is tough to acknowledge as separate from the unique home,” studio co-founder Jakub Filip Novák advised Dezeen.
Commentators had nothing however reward for the mission.
“I really like the clear traces, the easy gestures, the quiet prospers,” wrote one. “With the quiet historic greens and blues complementing the wooden, it jogs my memory of Shaker modernism right here within the States. Actually stunning areas.”
Different articles on this week’s e-newsletter embrace a ‘fantastically configured’ co-op housing mission in Japan, a roundup of structure initiatives to not be missed in 2023 and a modular refugee classroom designed by Zaha Hadid Architects.
