Abbe showroom celebrates fallas competition in Valencia
When ABBE (Artesanía Bordada), a producer of handicrafts for the standard Fallas competition, enlisted Clap Studio to design them showroom within the Valencia, the studio started its idea with the purpose of capturing the essence of this vibrant celebration. Clap Studio imagined an area that captures the spirit of blossoming and the transition from winter to spring, planting a floral set up in collaboration with the Amiguis collective as a centerpiece symbolizing the fleeting great thing about spring flowers. “What we symbolize in house is a selected second, as if now we have frozen time on the actual second when nature wakes up from a winter sleep.” explains Angela Montagud.

In Valencia, Spain, the Fallas competition celebrates the arrival of spring. Originating from an historic custom of carpenters lighting bonfires on the town squares to burn off winter wooden scraps, this celebration has developed into elaborate creative monuments fabricated from flammable supplies generally known as “falle”. Clap Studio builds on this, making a monochromatic house that in some unspecified time in the future begins to blossom and are available to life. Volumes of vibrant colours evoke progress, promising to rework your complete house right into a kaleidoscope of hues. The staff wraps the showroom in an artisan mortar that mixes with perimeter curtains that conceal the merchandise on show as wanted, and permit the expertise to be formed and tailored to the person and their wants.
