BTS Completes Military Duties: Suga's Discharge Paves Way for 2026 Reunion

BTS fans can rejoice as all seven members of the K-pop sensation have completed their mandatory military service, culminating with the discharge of rapper Suga, also known as Min Yoongi. Suga wrapped up his duties as a social service agent on Wednesday, although his official discharge date is set for Saturday, June 21, according to Big Hit Entertainment.
His alternative service was due to a prior shoulder surgery, distinguishing his experience from that of his bandmates, who served in the regular army. Suga was the last member to finish military obligations, following the earlier discharges of RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook last week. Jin and J-Hope had completed their service in June 2024 and October 2024, respectively.
With the completion of their military duties, BTS is gearing up for a much-anticipated reunion, aiming for a full comeback in 2026. This marks a significant milestone for the group, which has navigated the challenges of South Korea's conscription laws while maintaining its global presence.
