Google Launches AI Audio Overviews for Enhanced Search Experience

Google has begun testing AI-powered Audio Overviews for mobile search results, providing users with a new way to engage with information. By opting into this feature through Labs, users can generate a podcast-like discussion for specific queries.

For instance, searching “How do noise cancellation headphones work?” will reveal a button that allows users to generate an Audio Overview. This process takes about 40 seconds, resulting in a small audio player embedded directly in the search results.

The Audio Overview includes two AI-generated hosts discussing the topic and provides links to sources used for the information. Currently, this feature is available in English in the US only.
