In a heartfelt tribute to the late Dolly Parton, who passed away this week at 80, AMC Theatres will showcase two of her iconic films, "Steel Magnolias" and "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas." The screenings will take place at around 200 locations across the United States from August 28 to September 2.

Parton's role in "Steel Magnolias" featured her among a star-studded cast including Sally Field and Julia Roberts, showcasing her talent in a story that tugs at the heartstrings. Directed by Herbert Ross, the film is based on Robert Harling’s beloved play.

In "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," Parton stars as a well-meaning brothel owner alongside Burt Reynolds. This musical, adapted from Broadway, highlights her versatile talent and charm. AMC plans to offer two daily matinee screenings of each film, making sure fans can celebrate Parton’s legacy in theaters, particularly in her home state of Tennessee.
