BenQ Launches iScreenBar: The Perfect Light Bar for Your iMac

BenQ has unveiled the iScreenBar, a sleek $189 light bar designed specifically for the iMac, addressing a long-standing issue with lighting solutions for Apple’s desktop. Unlike previous options that interfered with the camera and microphone, the iScreenBar features a unibody aluminum build and a custom magnetic clamp, ensuring unobstructed access to these essential components.

Compatible with the 24-inch iMac from 2021 and onward, the iScreenBar connects via USB-C, enabling direct communication with macOS. This connection allows users to control brightness and color temperature through a dedicated app, enhancing the overall user experience. A standout feature, Video Mode, automatically adjusts lighting when the iMac’s camera activates, providing flattering illumination for video calls.

The light bar employs BenQ’s ASYM-Light optical design to direct light downward, eliminating screen glare and creating an evenly lit workspace. With the initial launch available in Silver, additional colorways in Blue and Green are expected in late 2026.
