Bentley's Torcal: The Upcoming Electric SUV That Mimics a Classic V8 Roar

Bentley is gearing up to unveil its first fully electric vehicle, the Torcal, next month. Known for its luxurious combustion engines, the British automaker is now making strides into the electric realm, offering a plug-in hybrid V8 as a replacement for the Continental GT's W12.
The Torcal, showcasing a striking plastic exterior with eye-catching dazzle camouflage, measures 5 meters in length and is designed to compete in the sports SUV market. Although it shares engineering elements with the Porsche Cayenne EV, Bentley has tailored the Torcal to meet its unique standards.
With a target range of 300 miles (482 km) under EPA regulations, the Torcal promises impressive performance, boasting over 850 PS (838 hp) and 737 lb-ft of torque, as highlighted by product line director Martin Page.
