Blockforce Leverages Blockchain to Ensure Supply Chain Transparency

By Editor • August 31, 2026 • 1 min read

Brazilian supply chain traceability platform Blockforce is making strides in proving origin claims for brands, including Latin America’s largest fashion house, without compromising sensitive commercial data. By collaborating with the Cardano Foundation, Blockforce has innovatively utilized blockchain technology to provide proof of origin while keeping proprietary information secure.

André Salem, Blockforce's CEO, emphasized the need for brands to demonstrate their supply chain integrity without revealing supplier details. Their solution enables companies to maintain private commercial data on a closed network, while a cryptographic proof is published on the Cardano blockchain, allowing stakeholders to verify authenticity without accessing underlying data.

This development comes as businesses face heightened scrutiny regarding transparency. The European Union's Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive exemplifies the global push for clearer supply chains, impacting sectors from fashion to pharmaceuticals.

Azzas 2154, the region's largest fashion group, is already employing Blockforce’s platform to track its leather supply chain. Suelen Joner, head of sustainability at Azzas 2154, stated their goal is to trace 100% of their leather products by 2030, utilizing data that suppliers already generate to form a comprehensive, auditable record.

Blockforce and Cardano have formalized agreements covering 6.5 million certification records through 2030, indicating a robust future for blockchain applications across various industries, including automotive and cosmetics. Guilherme Pereira from Cardano noted that effective blockchain technology should seamlessly integrate into business processes, enhancing operational transparency without drawing attention to itself.
