A new publication, Great Women Photographers, aims to celebrate the significant contributions of female photographers from around the globe. Authored by Fiona Rogers, the book features over 250 artists from 68 countries, spanning nearly 200 years of photographic history.
This collection is the fourth in Phaidon’s series dedicated to influential women in the arts, following volumes on various creative disciplines. Organized alphabetically, each entry includes scholarly commentary alongside striking images that highlight the diversity of women's photographic practices, ranging from photojournalism to conceptual landscapes.
