Champions League Draw Pits PSG Against Premier League Rivals

By Editor • August 27, 2026 • 1 min read

The upcoming Champions League season has set the stage for exciting matchups, with defending champions Paris St-Germain facing tough competition from Premier League powerhouses Manchester City and Aston Villa, alongside Spanish giants Barcelona.

PSG, fresh off their back-to-back titles, will host Barcelona at Parc des Princes and make trips to both Villa Park and the Etihad Stadium. For City, the draw promises a thrilling reunion with former player Rodri, who recently transferred to Barcelona.

Arsenal, the previous season's runners-up, will also be in the mix, taking on 15-time champions Real Madrid and facing Bayern Munich away. Under Mikel Arteta, they will look to build on their strong performance from last season, where they topped the league phase with a perfect record.

Returning to the Champions League after a year away, Aston Villa will host PSG and Borussia Dortmund while also traveling to face Barcelona. Meanwhile, Manchester United is back in the tournament after a two-year absence, set to clash with Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and Roma.

The matches will kick off on September 8, 2026, with teams competing in a league format where the top eight qualify for the knockout stage. The schedule for the matches is expected to be released soon.
