China Calls for US to Abandon Proposed Drone Tariffs Amid Supply Chain Concerns

Beijing has voiced strong opposition to the United States' proposed tariffs of up to 100 percent on imported drones, highlighting concerns that these measures unjustly target Chinese manufacturers and could disrupt global supply chains.
Although the tariffs are scheduled to take effect on September 3, the impact is already being felt, with July customs data indicating a significant drop in drone exports from China to the U.S.
He Yadong, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, articulated China's stance, emphasizing the need for cooperation rather than punitive tariffs.
