Chinese Robot Breaks Usain Bolt's 100m Record

A humanoid robot named Lightning, created by Honor, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has shattered Usain Bolt's 100m sprint record. The robot completed the distance in an impressive 9.32 seconds during a test event for the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing.

Lightning achieved a peak speed of 14.5 metres per second and previously won a half marathon in April, finishing in 50 minutes and 26 seconds. This robot, standing at 169cm tall, had its legs lengthened ahead of the competition.
