Cuisinart Grill Brush Recall Affects Over 3 Million Products Due to Safety Concerns

As summer grilling season comes to a close, consumers are urged to check their grilling tools. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for several wire-bristled grill brushes from Conair’s Cuisinart brand, citing safety risks associated with loose metal bristles.
These bristles can detach during use and potentially end up on food or grill grates, posing a serious ingestion hazard. The current recall affects over 1.9 million grill brushes, adding to the 1.7 million recalled in July 2026 for similar issues, bringing the total to approximately 3.6 million.
Reports indicate at least 54 instances of detached bristles, with three individuals requiring medical attention after swallowing them. Customers are encouraged to check their brushes, some of which have been sold since 2009 through various retailers including Amazon and Walmart.
Conair is offering full refunds without requiring receipts. To initiate the refund process, customers should visit www.recallrtr.com/grillbrushes. They will need to provide contact information and upload a photo of the brush marked with a Destruction Code. Refunds will be processed within 10 to 15 business days, with options for a physical check or a coupon for future purchases.
