Discover Saikindō: Abu Dhabi's Hidden Hi-Fi Bar with a Fashion Twist
By Editor • August 18, 2026 • 1 min read
Located within the Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi, Saikindō invites guests into a unique world that cleverly masquerades as a fashion atelier. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by an array of embroidered sukajan jackets and 1980s-inspired accessories, only to be surprised by a hidden doorway leading to a vibrant bar filled with analogue sounds and enticing yakitori aromas.
The name Saikindō, which loosely translates to 'How have you been?' in Japanese, reflects its intention to attract the after-work crowd. Designed by AvroKO, the bar merges influences from Japan's 1960s Metabolism movement with the essence of vintage audio aesthetics and the playful spirit of ‘Bond-zoku’—imagine James Bond trading his tuxedo for a sukajan jacket.
Saikindō’s drink menu, curated by Marco Corallo and Ann Pinsuda, features twelve cocktails inspired by musical tracks, arranged in a record format. Signature offerings include Big Poppa and Like Sugar, both with unique flavor profiles. Diners can also indulge in exquisite dishes from the intimate Robata Room, where chef Slamet Wahyudi serves A5 wagyu tartare and grilled lobster negima.
