Esoteric Unveils the Innovative T-01 Turntable with Magnetic Drive Technology

Esoteric has introduced the T-01, a premium turntable that redefines vinyl playback by eliminating mechanical contact and motor vibration through its groundbreaking MagneDrive system. Debuted in Tokyo, this turntable is a smaller, more accessible version of the Grandioso T1, which retails for a staggering $80,000.
The T-01’s unique approach allows the platter to spin via magnetic induction, separating it from traditional belt-driven systems. A magnetic driver positioned beneath the platter induces motion in a soft-iron wheel, effectively isolating the record from unwanted vibrations.
Weighing in at 35kg and featuring a 13kg aluminum platter, the T-01 is engineered for optimal performance. Its design includes a three-layer aluminum and MDF chassis with vibration-absorbing feet, while the motor is housed in its own enclosure to further minimize interference.
Additionally, the T-01 offers advanced speed control, accommodating both 33 1/3 and 45 rpm records and allowing synchronization with external 10MHz clock references. This attention to detail is aimed at audiophiles who demand precision in every aspect of their listening experience.
Available at $50,000 with the TA-9D tonearm or $46,000 for the T-01AL without a tonearm, the T-01 is set to begin international shipments in September 2026, targeting discerning music enthusiasts.
