Hamptons Film Festival Unveils Star-Studded Opening Night Lineup

The Hamptons Film Festival is gearing up for an exciting 2026 edition, kicking off with the East Coast premiere of Peter Farrelly's film, I Play Rocky. Actor Anthony Ippolito will be celebrated with a breakthrough performer award during the opening night festivities.

This year's festival will also honor notable figures in the film industry, including Bob Balaban, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, known for their work on Project Hail Mary, will be presented with the Achievement in Directing Award. Additionally, Jordan Firstman will be recognized with the FLYTE Breakthrough Director Award for his film Club Kid.

Among the films slated for screening are the world premieres of several documentaries, including The Drug in Our Pocket and Kingdom Fungi, along with the U.S. premiere of Bunker, starring Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz. The festival promises a diverse lineup that showcases bold storytelling and unique perspectives.

Running from October 2 to 12, the event aims to bring together filmmakers and audiences for an unforgettable cinematic experience.
