Harvard's Innovative Bootcamp Features AI Instructor Avatars

Harvard Business School is embracing technology with AI avatars in its $699 HBS Foundry bootcamp, designed for aspiring entrepreneurs.

These virtual instructors, developed by HeyGen, provide personalized feedback during practice pitches, while live sessions occur weekly. New York Times reporter Sarah Kessler tested the system by pitching to a digital version of Jeff Bussgang, who admitted that both he and his AI counterpart were less than impressed with her proposal.

Despite mixed feelings about AI among students, participants have reported a positive experience with the avatars.
