In a remarkable economic upturn, Hong Kong's exports experienced a staggering increase of 50.7% year-on-year in July, largely fueled by a surge in artificial intelligence-related electronic products. This growth trend continues to bolster the region's trade landscape, despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainties.
According to provisional data released by the Census and Statistics Department on Tuesday, the export value climbed to HK$672.5 billion last month, following a notable 53.4% increase in June. A government spokesperson highlighted that the impressive performance in July reflects strong and sustained demand in the tech sector.
