Seamless Living: Vancouver Home Connects Interior with Nature

A stunning Vancouver residence showcases an innovative design that blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. With floor-to-ceiling glass panels set flush with the ground, the new addition creates an illusion of continuity, allowing the interior to extend into the lush garden.

This ambitious project was a collaborative effort between Evoke International Design and builder Linden Construction, who meticulously crafted a sloped bluestone terrace to manage rainwater while enhancing the seamless transition. The use of slim steel frames, as opposed to aluminum, provides unobstructed views while echoing the architectural character of the neighboring 1912 estate.

The interior design reflects a harmonious blend of soft whites and warm grays, with oak flooring and Calacatta counters setting a serene backdrop. A striking white sculptural staircase serves as a focal point, integrating fluidly into the existing structure. Furniture pieces from renowned designers like Pierre Paulin and Vladimir Kagan complement the elegant aesthetic.

Outside, Tasha Sangha of Paul Sangha Creative designed the landscape to be viewed through the expansive glass, creating a lush environment with a layered pastel understory and pleached Portuguese laurels. After dark, carefully selected fixtures illuminate the garden, ensuring the connection between the interior and exterior remains vibrant and inviting.
