As preparations intensify for the upcoming sequel to the biopic "Michael," Jaafar Jackson, the late pop icon’s nephew, emphasizes the film's intent to address the controversial child abuse allegations that marred Michael Jackson's legacy in the 1990s.

In an interview with GQ Middle East, Jaafar expressed his desire for the sequel to reflect Michael's perspective and humanize the icon amidst the surrounding scrutiny. "It’s someone else’s story," he remarked, highlighting the challenges his family faces in ensuring Michael's voice is represented accurately.

The first film, which grossed over $1 billion globally, only covers Michael's early career, concluding with the 1987 release of "Bad." Jaafar stated that the follow-up will delve deeper into Michael's character, illustrating his enduring kindness and humanity despite the tribulations he faced.
