Jessica Goldstein Takes the Helm as SVP of Events at The Atlantic

The Atlantic has announced the appointment of Jessica Goldstein as its new senior vice president of events, effective early September. In her new role, Goldstein will collaborate with managing director Evan Smith to enhance the magazine's extensive live programming across the nation.
Goldstein brings a wealth of experience, having previously spent eight years at NPR, where she spearheaded live cultural programming. Her notable projects include the Tiny Desk Contest and the How I Built This Summit. Most recently, she directed the Skoll Foundation's global convenings strategy and led the Skoll World Forum.
At The Atlantic, Goldstein will oversee a variety of events, including the much-anticipated Atlantic Festival, scheduled for September 17-19 in New York City after nearly two decades in Washington, D.C. Additionally, she will contribute to the magazine's new initiative, The Atlantic Across America, which aims to tackle pressing national issues through a series of events across all 50 states.
Evan Smith expressed enthusiasm about Goldstein’s hiring, highlighting her expertise in operations and audience engagement. He emphasized the importance of fostering conversations among diverse thought leaders through The Atlantic's events, which aim to inspire and ignite dialogue.
