Jessica McCormack, the renowned diamond jewelry designer, is set to make a splash on the West Coast with the opening of her second U.S. store at South Coast Plaza. This new boutique, which is scheduled to open this week, features a vibrant interior that blends the warmth of California sunshine with McCormack's British heritage.
Spanning 1,600 square feet, the store will showcase the brand’s signature pieces along with its popular summer collections, such as 'Beaches' and 'Fruit Salad.' CEO Leonie Brantberg emphasized the importance of this expansion, noting the high demand from American customers and the brand’s growing online presence in California. With an ambassador like Zoë Kravitz, McCormack's venture into the U.S. market has been met with enthusiasm.
Brantberg shared insights on customer behavior, revealing that U.S. clients are gravitating towards higher-carat weights compared to their U.K. counterparts, with average transaction values also higher in the U.S. “Our clients are shopping with real confidence,” she noted.
Designer Jessica McCormack personally curated the store's design, aiming to create an inviting atmosphere that feels more like a home than a traditional jewelry shop. The boutique features a lighter wood palette and soft pastel colors, and is adorned with historical wallpaper and unique furnishings. “It reflects the Southern California sunshine,” McCormack explained.
Notably, the store will include pieces from the upcoming 'Bows' collection, launching on September 10. Anton Segerstrom of South Coast Plaza expressed excitement about the new addition, highlighting McCormack's reputation for exceptional personal service.
This latest boutique follows McCormack's successful flagship on Madison Avenue, and the brand has plans for further expansion, including a flagship on Rodeo Drive expected to debut in 2027. The growth of Jessica McCormack's brand, known for its 'day diamonds' designed for everyday wear, continues to thrive, backed by significant investment from the Agnelli family’s Exor holding.
