Kalshi's Bid to Avoid Gambling Laws Thwarted by Court Ruling

Kalshi faced a significant setback today as a federal appeals court ruled against its attempt to operate outside of Nevada's gambling regulations. The 9th Circuit Court, with a panel of Trump-appointed judges, unanimously decided that Kalshi's sports bets are indeed classified as gambling.
Nevada officials welcomed the ruling, asserting that prediction markets must adhere to the state's strict gaming laws, reinforcing Governor Joe Lombardo's stance on the matter.
