Kris Van Assche Revives His Signature Label with a Modern Twist

By Editor • August 31, 2026 • 1 min read

Kris Van Assche is set to revive his signature fashion label, aiming to cater to both men and women with a fresh approach. The Belgian designer, who previously closed his label in 2015 while at Dior Homme, is focusing on direct-to-consumer sales and a curated selection of high-quality pieces made from deadstock fabrics.

The new collection is expected to launch around mid-September on his website, krisvanassche.com, which will also feature various design projects the designer has been involved in since leaving Berluti in 2021. These projects include ceramics with Serax and bronze sculptures with Downtown Gallery, along with collaborations with Fred Perry and Anta.

Van Assche has revealed that the collection will showcase re-editions of signature styles alongside fresh designs, emphasizing a tailored aesthetic for men and a sensual vibe for women. He shared images hinting at this direction, including a rose stem wrapped in plastic tied with the phrase “write more love letters.”

Working with a small team, Van Assche aims for a tightly edited collection of about 40 styles, including jackets, trousers, and dresses. He describes the pricing as accessible for a designer label, with shirts priced between 400 to 500 euros and jackets starting at around 1,000 euros. After years in menswear, he is eager to re-explore womenswear, designing from personal needs and preferences.
