Leominster, a quaint market town in Herefordshire, England, is drawing attention for its rich architectural history, thanks to the creative efforts of local architect Christian Montez. This lesser-known gem, pronounced 'Lem-ster,' boasts a trove of medieval and Tudor buildings, some dating back to the 12th century.

In a unique approach to showcase the town's heritage, Montez launched an Instagram account featuring whimsical videos that highlight Leominster's architectural elements—such as corbels and finials—set to upbeat music. The first video, posted on August 20, has astonishingly garnered over 2 million views. "I'm like, what on earth? Like, do people really want to see a silly video about bargeboards and finials?" Montez remarked.

With each post, Montez aims to instill a sense of pride in the local community about their historical assets. Having moved to Leominster nearly three years ago, he recognized the town’s medieval roots and its architectural diversity, stating, "The whole town's basically built on a medieval footprint." He also runs a personal project, Leominster Heritage, combining local lore with modern technology to explore the town’s past.

Through social media, Montez hopes to collaborate with local organizations to enhance community engagement and spark interest in Leominster's rich architectural tapestry, planning more entertaining videos to come.
