Marchand, who had been dealing with a thigh injury from the French nationals in June, showcased his resilience after a two-year hiatus since his outstanding performance at the Paris Games. "There was an absolutely mad atmosphere in the pool, I'll remember it for a long time," he reflected, adding that the final 50 meters felt exceptional, hinting at potential room for a quicker start.
