Liverpool has finalized a major signing, acquiring French forward Bradley Barcola from Paris St-Germain for a total fee that could reach £123 million. Initially, PSG had set Barcola’s price at £145 million, but the Reds will pay an upfront fee of £106 million, supplemented by £17 million in performance-related add-ons.

The 23-year-old has committed to a five-year deal, making him the fifth new face at Anfield this summer, joining the likes of Victor Munoz, Ronald Araujo, and others. Expressing his enthusiasm, Barcola stated, “It took a long time but I’m really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool. All I want is to be on the pitch.” He expressed a strong desire to win the Premier League, calling it one of his life’s biggest dreams.

Barcola, who will don the number 29 jersey, primarily plays as a left winger but is versatile enough to operate across the front line. Last season, he made significant contributions at PSG, netting 13 goals and assisting seven times in 49 appearances. His standout form extended to international play, where he scored three goals in eight matches during the 2026 World Cup, helping France secure third place.

His analytical stats reveal a player who not only scores but also creates opportunities, averaging 3.5 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1 and showcasing an impressive ability to penetrate defenders. Liverpool's management praised Barcola's work ethic, particularly his prowess in pressing and winning possessions in the final third, aligning with the club’s tactical philosophy under manager Andoni Iraola.
